Excellent for 6" holes! However, it won't be suitable for larger auger bits.

Tough lil Auger!

This compact auger is quite handy and far superior to using a manual post hole digger. While using it solo did tire me out a bit, the efficiency of digging multiple holes in a short time outweighed the fatigue compared to the hand digger. I encountered rocks, roots, and debris, and around 95% of the time, I drilled precisely where I intended to on my marks. Out of 20 holes, only one shifted due to roots. With careful handling, you can power through rocks and small roots, ensuring deep enough post holes. It has proven to be a wise investment! After digging fence posts, we've also used it for planting shrubs and small trees, finding it quite handy for those tasks as well. I love it! It starts every time for me, and I have no complaints about the quality.

Absolutely impressive! I reside in Hampton Roads near the Warwick River, and it effortlessly cut through my soil. I can't speak to how it handles tree roots and rocks since I don't have them. Assembly took me only 3 minutes, and after putting in a 50:1 mix, it started on the 5th pull. This tool will save my back when digging holes for fence posts and 4x4 posts for the shed.
