This auger head is excellent. I used it to dig 12-inch holes in clay, and it worked wonderfully. It has plenty of power, making it a true workhorse. After mixing the gas, priming it, and giving it three pulls, it started right up!

Getting this ahead of schedule is a definite positive. The auger is user-friendly and digs quickly. No issues encountered.

This tool performs effectively; I utilized it to excavate 10 holes, each 3 feet deep, using an 8-inch auger. The initial 2 feet were dug rapidly, and then I needed to clear away all the dirt from the hole to complete the last foot. While this might not be the ideal choice for professional use, it's suitable for homeowners undertaking multiple hole-digging tasks, provided you have the strength to handle it.
