I purchased these ceramic logs as a replacement for a much more expensive set while selling my house. They are well-packed and lightweight, but not solid. It takes a bit of effort to arrange them in a way that looks like real logs in the fireplace, but once set up, they look great. To set them up, I first added a layer of small black lava rock over the burner to disperse the flames. On top of that layer, I added the grate, and finally the logs. Initially, when I fired up the fireplace, the gas burned blue, but after a few minutes, the logs started glowing and the fire turned a more realistic yellow. The glowing red color adds to the realism of the logs, but the fact that they retain that much heat may imply that they won‚Äö√Ñ√¥t last that long. Regardless, for the price, they can‚Äö√Ñ√¥t be beat.
