I was considering going to Harbor Freight and spending more on an inferior product. I'm glad I didn't. This product is going to endure for a long time.

After extensive research among various vendors and models, I ultimately chose this product as my top pick due to the numerous outstanding reviews from various sources. I can confidently affirm that this tool lives up to its reputation! The delivery was exceptionally fast, adding another positive note to the overall service. Setting it up was a breeze, with the only requirement being the addition of a bit of oil, which I easily found after a brief search. Initially, I was surprised by its weight, questioning whether it would truly meet my needs. However, within a few days, I took it outside and promptly cracked a section of a robust, fully meshed, 15-year-old concrete slab (as seen in the fifth photo). The slab showed no signs of deterioration or cracks in its 16-foot length.

Before proceeding with further usage, I equipped the tool with a masonry circular saw blade and made a few cuts strategically placed near any false cuts to prevent unintended slab breakage due to the mesh. The demo tool efficiently removed two 4x4 (6-inch thick), fully meshed, raised aggregate slabs in just a few hours without any issues. All debris was cleared from the areas by the end of the day. Remarkably, the included wide chisel bit, used throughout the entire job, appeared nearly new after completion. I maintained a consistent pace, moving approximately 6 inches from each successive split, and the tool effortlessly continued splitting until the task was completed. It never bogged down, never got stuck, and seamlessly went through the mesh in some areas.

I still have two more slabs (one of which is 4x8) to address in the spring, and I am confident that this tool will handle the remaining work and more, providing years of satisfaction. Overall, I am very pleased with the performance of this tool, making it an excellent deal. It's important to note that the only drawback I encountered was a cracked corner of the case upon its arrival. Although the case still rolls, the cracked corner leans towards a caster, the apparent weak link. However, this is a minor inconvenience, and the tool itself is the main value, making it a fantastic addition to my toolkit.

Smart move to include the three main tools – point, chisel, and shovel – in the package, and it's way more cost-effective to buy than to rent. Originally considered selling it after using it for a sewer line repair to the basement floor, but nope, I'll keep it! It's powerful! Essential accessories include ear muffs, ear protection, water for dust control, and oil for the reservoir – make sure to keep an eye on the lubrication!
